I love an everyday, simple 30-minute makeup look that I can do when I’m on a time crunch or just want something easy but still helps me look my best. This makeup routine gives me the most confidence as an acne-prone girly with texture, hyperpigmentation, combination skin, and occasional breakouts. I want to share what works best for me with anyone who might benefit from the products I use so you can feel confident and get your best look every time, too!
The Base Prep
The base skin prep for any makeup look is key it can truly make or break how your makeup turns out. Lack of hydration, product buildup, or flaking skin can easily lead to a makeup disaster. I’m here to share the perfect base routine for my combination skin type.
On cleansed skin, I start with the Rhode Hydrating Milk Toner, applying it only below my forehead on my cheeks, jawline, chin, and upper lip. These areas tend to be drier, while my forehead is oily, which is why I skip that part for this step.
Next, I use the Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Cream for hydration around the eyes it gives the perfect moisture balance without feeling greasy. Then, I apply the Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer, focusing mainly on my drier areas first before blending the rest across my face. Don’t forget the neck!
Lastly, I finish with the Innisfree Daily UV Defense Invisible Broad Spectrum SPF 36 Sunscreen, again bringing it down to my neck. I like to let my skin prep sit for a few minutes before continuing with the rest of my makeup it helps everything melt beautifully into the skin.

Eyes
Why am I starting with my eyes, you ask? I promise I have a good reason! I always start with my eye makeup first because it gives my base prep a few extra minutes to really sink into my skin.
I begin with my eyebrows they’re pretty sparse and light, so I like to keep them looking natural. Using an angled eyebrow brush, I dip into a neutral dark brown shade (never black!). If you want the full Angry Bird effect, go for black, but for that soft, natural brow look, a lighter brown shade is perfect.
After filling them in, I brush through my brows with the Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow+ Tinted Volumizing Eyebrow Gel to give them a little tint and shape while keeping the hairs in place.
Foundation & Concealer
I prefer using foundation even when I’m going for an everyday look but I’ve finally found the perfect one that doesn’t feel heavy or cakey. The Armani Luminous Silk Natural Glow Foundation is lightweight, buildable from medium to full coverage, and works beautifully on textured, combination, acne-prone skin.
I like to pump a small drop onto the back of my hand and press a rounded-top foundation brush into it evenly. I start applying from my cheeks and T-zone, then blend outward toward the edges of my face for a seamless, natural finish.
Next, I use my holy grail concealer the Tower 28 Swipe Hydrating Serum Concealer. It’s hydrating, smooth, and never creases. I apply a little under my eyes, around the sides of my nose, and over any acne scars or dark spots for extra coverage.

Blush & Bronzer
Blush is one of my favorite makeup steps it just enhances my features so well and brings my face to life! It also keeps me from looking like a flat moon face, which is always a plus.
My go-to blush is the e.l.f. Cosmetics Camo Liquid Blush in the shade Suave Mauve. I apply it to the apples of my cheeks and blend upward toward my cheekbones for a lifted look. I also like to add a touch on the bridge and tip of my nose, and a little on my temples for extra definition especially since I skip full-face contour and bronzing.
Before bronzing my nose, I set all my liquid products with the Milani Make It Last Original Natural Finish Setting Spray and let it dry completely (I love fanning my face during this part). Once it’s dry, I gently contour my nose using the NARS Mini Laguna Talc-Free Bronzing Powder for subtle definition.
Setting The Face
After applying all my liquid products and melting everything together with setting spray, I like to lock it all in with powder. For my under eyes and the rest of my face, I use the Tower 28 Beauty Get Set Pressed Powder in Translucent with a powder puff.
On my T-zone — where I tend to get the oiliest I switch to the ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder, also using a powder puff for that extra-smooth, matte finish.
To enhance my blush and bring back a soft flush of color, I lightly go over my cheeks with the NARS Powder Blush in the shade Dolce Vita (my absolute favorite!) using a soft, loose powder brush.
Sometimes I’ll stop here, but if I want an extra “locked-in” finish, I tie it all together with the ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr On ’Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray. It keeps everything in place and helps my makeup last all day.

Final Touches
Lastly, I curl my lashes and apply my holy-grail mascara —the L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara. I’ll take this one to the grave! It gives me the perfect length without looking clumpy or overdone. I also apply a light coat to my bottom lashes to make my eyes look bigger and more awake.
For lips, I line them with the NYX Lip Liner in the shade Peakaboo Neutral it’s the perfect neutral pink/brown tone. Then I top it off with my current favorite, the e.l.f. Glow Reviver Lip Oil in the shade It’s Giving Guava for a juicy, soft-glam finish.
And that’s my full everyday makeup routine! It’s simple, soft, and makes me feel confident every single time I do it. I love that it works for my combination, acne-prone skin while still giving me that fresh, glowy look. I hope this helps you find a few new favorites or inspires you to create your own easy everyday routine that makes you feel just as beautiful. 💗
